Weekly Update 01


Last week, I released my first-ever game. One week later, I continued working on it! Overall, the content hasn't changed much. I've mostly focused on refactoring the code to make it easier to extend for future content. However, I replaced the sprites with completely new and custom ones that I created. Please bear with me as I'm new to pixel art!

Here's a list of changes I made:

  • New sprites for demons, the big button, light currency icon, and some demon skill icons
  • Added a new NPC (Wizard) who currently only has one spell: Capacitor, which increases light capacity
  • Added a mute button in the bottom left corner
  • Added tooltips for the upgrades section on the right
  • Added a new panel for demon stats
  • Added a few new upgrades
  • Improved the GUI theme

Most demon skill pixel icons are still missing, and there are no tooltips for the skills or generator upgrades at the bottom. I plan to add those next week, along with new content if time allows.

Currently, the game does not have a save/load function, and idle/background progression only works by running the executable version, which is only available for Windows at the moment (file attached) .
